Volunteer Activities

What would you like to help with?

Help w/ Setup of Tents and booths before the event starts

Help with the preparation of food and beverages.

Help with registration process on the day of the walk.

Assist / Chaperone childrens activities (Bounce Slides, Face Painting etc)

Help us leave the place like we found it. :-)

About the Buddy Walk

The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Today, the Buddy Walk® program is supported nationally by NDSS and organized at the local level by parent support groups, schools and other organizations and individuals.

Getting Ready for 2014!!!

Buddy Walk® 2014 will be held this year at the Gulfport Sportsplex on October 18th. We need your help and support to fullfill the mission of reaching out the members of our community with Down Syndrome. You can help us reach farther and faster than we ever have before!
